Going on social media can be very stressful. You’re putting information into your head that other people are putting out there, good and bad. Other people are controlling what you learn. To avoid a negative impact, I try to use social media as a source of inspiration and learning on topics that interest me. A positive aspect of social media is, it is a good way to network and learn from others you would not normally be exposed to. The key is to choose the right people and things to learn.
For example, on Twitter I follow a lot of functional medicine/holistic wellness doctors. They share information that I would never get from local doctors.
I also follow people who share calming, inspirational information.
For someone who is serious about improving their health, getting rid of stress is really a necessary component. Cutting out toxic people in your social media feed is an easy way to start.

Challenge:
Take a look at your social media feed. Think about what the posts are about and how they make you feel. Switch out negative posting for something more uplifting you can learn from.
