How To Find Supplements

I try to take the least amount of supplements that provide the most benefit. The priority supplements I take are a multivitamin, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, a probiotic, magnesium and Omega 3. A recent addition is alpha lipoic acid for blood sugar.
I’ve always struggled with figuring out which brands to take. A long time ago I bought a different brand of algae oil and it felt like I was on drugs. It was really weird. I tend to just buy the same brand when I find something that seems ok because I would spend so much time researching and comparing brands and ingredients it was always a pain to switch brands.
Thankfully, there is now an amazing app called SuppCo. It’s free, but also comes with an upgrade option. It’s a pretty new app and updates are always being added to it. I’ve been using it for quite a few months and it’s been very helpful.
You enter the supplement type and brand you currently take. The app adds it to your stack. When you’re done, the app will calculate a score that gives you an idea of good they are. You can easily search for other brands by supplement type or brand. Each supplement in the system has a score. The higher the score, the better the supplement. They have less fillers, have been third party tested and contain what they say they contain.
There are protocols with suggestions by various health experts, such as Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Natalie Crawford, Thomas DeLauer, Dr. Robin Berzin and many others, on what supplements to take for a given health issue or goal.
There are also articles with testing results on supplement type and brands that provide information on which brands of supplements actually contain the ingredients they claim to contain.

BTW, I have no affiliation with SuppCo. I just like their app.

Challenge:
Check out SuppCo. They have a website here and an app. It’s free to create an account, add your supplements and search for better options. It’s a time saver and definitely worth a look.
